|
|
Hi all,
Firstly, thanks to Sarah and co for running the grading at the weekend - was great fun!
I had a Judo session tonight and I noticed something in "throw for throw" style Randori. My breakfalls seem to have noticably improved since the weekend - I think the several hours of being thrown around as part of the Jujitsu grading has assisted with the ol' muscle memory to a great degree!
Probably more of a confidence/less scared of being thrown thing, but everything felt so much stronger.
So, another "plus" .... |

lol. Well that's one other good thing to come from being beaten up for several hours on a Sunday. It's a tough day isn't it?
Where do you train on a Tuesday?
Are you down on Thursday? I have your licence and result from Sunday.
I was very proud of everyone on Sunday! |

Yes, more hard work than I was expecting. Definite cross-training benefits though -- I think the whole "think quickly" aspect translates as well!
Tuesdays I am usually over at Yamabushi near Godalming. Only about 3-4 seniors, with the rest being transition juniors. Peter runs that one. I used to go to Camberley on Tuesdays but it's not really a teaching class....
I'll definitely be attending tommorrow! |

Ahhh, Peter who we were watching at High Wycombe? I'd imagine that's a great session for technique.
I'll see you tomorrow then. |
