About Matt
.

My name is Matt and I was born female in the 1970’s.

As early as I can remember I always wished I’d been born a boy. Society frowned upon this so I quickly learnt to conceal these thoughts and survived by living as a tomboy.

In 2013 I finally found the courage to transition to male, not everything was easy but I found the journey to be the most amazing and truly inspirational thing to ever happen to me.

Now I would like to use my experience and pass on what I have learnt to help educate others and hopefully go some way towards alleviating the social stigmas that prevented me from becoming who I was always meant to be before now.

I am currently Co-Chair of the support group FTM London (FTM = Female to Male) which meets in Camden once a month.
